Establishing Cognite as Industrial DataOps leaders with a definitive physical book
By writing, editing and designing a comprehensive 160-page book, Tomorrow People ensured Cognite cemented its position as Industrial DataOps thought leaders.
We’ve written the book on it
Industrial DataOps is an emerging field and a critical strategy for industrial companies. Industrial DataOps is about breaking down silos and optimizing the broad availability and usability of industrial data. This includes the data generated in heavy asset industries such as oil and gas, power and utilities, manufacturing, and shipping.
Tomorrow People worked closely with Cognite to write and design a substantial, informative, and educational book that would become the defining authority on anything and everything to do with Industrial DataOps.
Turning knowledge into compelling storytelling
We began by interviewing numerous key members of the Cognite team to tap into their knowledge and expertise. Through a carefully managed cycle of notes, drafts, edits, rework, and proofing, this was converted into a manuscript of seven chapters.
The next stage was to create a strong visual identity for the book. Our design team developed a powerful overall concept for the finished book, and produced a large number of diagrams, charts, and illustrations to bring the words to life.
Spreading the word across the globe
The finished asset is a comprehensive, thought-provoking, and beautiful 160-page book, and essential reading for anyone who wants to future-proof their industrial company.
As well as writing and designing the book, we also managed the print run and distribution process to a number of locations around the world. Cognite was so impressed with the finished book they increased the print run to 2,500 copies, and it is certainly delivers against their brief to ensure they establish themselves as Industrial DataOps thought leaders.
